Saddle Road: Volcanoes as far as the eye can see

Hawai'i is basically a huge volcano with two major peaks, Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Saddle Road crosses the island in an East-West direction between the two mountains. The rental agency said that driving on this road was not covered by the insurance policy. The road was actually pretty well kept, just a little bumpy.
