This is "Chain of Craters Road". It starts at the Kilauea Caldera and runs along the coast. It used to form a loop but in an eruption at the Mauna Ulu Flow, that started in 1969 and lasted 5 years, covered some of the road. Luckily there was an active floe the day I visited. This is where the hike starts.
