The next best place to see arches in the park is on a 12km (7.5mile)
loop hike called Devil's Garden. Not only is it a pretty hike full of
pretty arches, it also has things to teach about arch formation. These
fins of rock are how many arches start. Freezing and thawing ice break
off small pieces of rock until holes form. Successive erosion forms
successively larger holes and arches are born.
