Unfortunately, we had underestimated the Japanese. An entire tour bus of intrepid hikers had managed the ascent before us. They were very polite and took turns taking photos of the structure and were gone in little under a half hour. They were much nicer than the beer drinking bikers who showed up and took up residence.
