This particular street performer tried to demand the equivalent of US$10 for the privilege of taking a photo of the snake. Though I hadn't haggled a price before taking the photo, I'd been told by our guide the day before that 50c was more appropriate. After yelling at their ridiculous demands they backed off and accepted my offer. Their rudeness made me hope that one day the snake will win.
