Shimanto River 四万十川

In true Japanese form, the boat was equiped with a horrible sound system that played a pre-recorded message (with raucous background music) which started to inform me of the infinite wonders of this natural paradise. Because I was alone I was able to convince the pilot to turn the thing off. I have no idea how anyone could appreciate this beauty with that cacophony in the background.
