Pueblo Bonito was built near a detatched segment of cliff wall. The
Chacoans recognised the threat of a fall when constructing the building,
as a supporting terrace was built to reduce erosion and thus prevent
collapse. It took until 1941 for the rock to fall. It destroyed some of
the north east section of the ruin.
