The Chacoans built their walls with rubble in the interior and smaller
stones for a flat veneer. This gave their buildings great strength.
The walls were also tapered so that their weight decresed with
height. Though the walls are handsome by themselves, there is
evidence to suggest that most Chacoan walls were covered in a kind
of plaster.
