Bored as I was of the sea shore, I decided to head inland. It turns out that instead of following the ocean, I could cut across some of the peninsula on a winding mountain road. Since my GPS showed the road, I didn't feel that it was too risky. My Mapple showed me that it was unsealed in places but I'd had some good experiences on dirt roads in the area and I was ready to try it out.
