Chitose: Renting a car

I'd thought of this, however. Enter the magic of GPS. In Japan these devices are far more popular than they are in the states. After 90 seconds of instruction, I felt I had a handle on how the thing worked. Entering an address in Japanese was much easier than I thought it would be. Monkeying around with the thing later, led me to discover that I could skip most of that nonsence and just enter a destination telephone number, it would figure out the address from that and plot my course. Bloody brilliant. That cute little house next to the flag is where I would return my car in a week.
