Tokyo would come later. This was my connection to Chitose airport in Hokkaido. My plan was to spend the first week entirely by myself, driving around strange countryside with nothing but my horrible language skills to defend me. It seemed like a good idea when I was back home but I was tired now and starting to doubt myself.
